KURK-IRIS seismic station.

Kurchatov observatory is located in the north-eastern part of the Republic of Kazakhstan 145 km away from Semipalatinsk town. The observatory consists of two sites: central site and technical site 2, separated by two kilometers. The technical building at the central site was built in 1960 and the one at the 2-nd site was built in 1964.

A broadband 3-component DAS Reftek seismic station and STS-2 seismometers was installed and operated in Kurchatov between years 1994 and 2000.

A broadband 3-component IRIS/IDA station with STS-1 and GS-13 seismometers was been operating in Kurchatov since spring of 1995.

Detailed information about the seismic equipment installed in Kurchatov is listed in table 1. At the present time the Kurchatov "Cross" array is under renovation.
