Akbulak Seismic Array .

In the year 2003 the construction of the new Akbulak seismic array was finished and its operation began. Akbulak seismic array is located in Aytikebi district of Aktyubinsk area near Taldyk settlement. The new seismic station was named Akbulak according to area name.
Configuration of this array is similar to seismic arrays Makanchi and Karatau. Akbulak seismic array consists of 10 observation points, located in two concentric circles with one central site (see the figure). Nine one-component GS-21 seismometers are installed at 9 sites. Besides, there is a broadband three-component station with KS54000 seismometer (ABK31). Coordinates and parameters of the boreholes, where the seismometers are installed, are listed in the table below. At the present time the station is operating.
